The Unveiling

The SU7 sedan, Xiaomi’s first electric car, was unveiled on Thursday 28 March, 2024. During a webcast, Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun directly compared the car to the Tesla Model 3 and stated that it will be accessible in Chinese cities by May.

Lei Jun said Xiaomi has decided to invest tenfold, starting from the development of fundamental core technologies, and committing to constructing an outstanding vehicle. Through 15 to 20 years of effort, Xiaomi aims to become one of the top five global automakers,”

Notable Feature and Driverless Assistance

The SU7 is a component of Xiaomi’s newly unveiled “Human x Car x Home” strategy, which aims to create a network of gadgets linked to the company’s new HyperOS operating system.

The business has highlighted a number of important design elements, such as the “flowing curve,” active rear spoiler, halo taillights, water drop headlamps, and hidden door handles.

Xiaomi provides two choices for driver-assistance systems. Like Tesla, the Xiaomi Pilot Pro is powered by an Nvidia Drive Orin chip with 84 Tops of processing power and depends on pure vision technology. For improved capabilities, the Xiaomi Pilot Max system blends lidar technology with pure vision.

But the Max has an amazing range of 510 km (317 mi) that may be reached after only 15 minutes of charging.
